Shays Rebellion: Continued Ideals

Now, moving on to the men who where to deal under Capt. Shay. These poor farmers who had been victomized by the lack of pro-debtor laws. As a result of this lack of action in government and the reverse to print to a greater extent than paper money to equalize the scotch crisis these farmers had finally had enough. They would eventually band to make waterher and form a melitia. These common men, many of whome I had mentioned earlier served in the subversive war would come to name themselves the Regulators. The first tactics keep by this resistance was not by force only when through organized protests. Which soon led to forceful closings of courts and the sack of imprisoned debtors from jails in the fall of 1786. Shortly thereafter during the devolve of 1786-1787 Daniel Shays men where confronted by a much stronger and much more organized force put into play by the governer of Massachusetts. Shays small group of rebels where crushed beneath the clenched fist of this great force and didnt stand a chance. You mayhap saying to yourself, Well that must have been it. They failed, they fell on the battlefield and lost the good fight.
